Pave Picacho!

When I looked at the website, Picacho Recreational Park seemed like such a lovely place. There were hiking trails, beautiful plants and flowers, swimming, boating, shower facilities. I just have to say "FALSE ADVERTISING"!! This was the craziest camping experience ever. Putting it into words cannot do it justice. Neither can the pictures. But at least we can laugh about it now.

Here we have Efrat and Yvonne changing my tire after we had spent and hour driving on the most insane "gravel" road. I say "gravel" because it really can't be described as anything other than a hiking trail; not really suitable for anything other than a 4 wheeler.

She's so good at that.

This was the creepy group camp site we ended up at because all of the other sites were closed due to flooding. I'm telling you, it was a scene from "Texas Chainsaw Massacre". Over the hill to the left was a beautiful cemetary. Lovely.

So, we went to a hotel...

...and grilled our steaks on the pool side grill...

...and drank beer...

...and played poker...

Despite the insanity we endured, it ended up being a fun memorable experience.
