Cy, Cy, With Only One Eye

I saw this picture last week of this little kitten born with only one eye and no nose. It's disturbing but I can't seem to stop looking at it. Apparently the kitten died after one day, but not before the owner snapped some pictures of it and sent them to the media. The picture has been verified as authentic after some people were doubting its authenticity. Although the kitten died, the owner decided it would be a good idea to keep it in a bag in her freezer just in case scientists want it for research. Yeah, good idea. Because you always want to be prepared "just in case" (even if being prepared means having a frozen dead cat in your freezer for years). She also added that she will not be putting Cy on eBay. This will come as a big disappointment for all the folks in the market for a dead one eyed cat. See, this is where I think she is wrong. I say let the bidding begin!

It was good to have Tricia and Dan in town for the new year. I particularly enjoyed being taught Canasta by Trish so that Yvonne can now ask me every 10 minutes if I want to play.

I did make this beautiful neon cake.

Of course it's not a party until the poker chips come out.

I think they're waiting for 12:00 so they can go to sleep.
